The San Diego Botanic Garden is busy in October with events, classes and new plants in bloom. With four miles of trails within 37 acres of land and over 3,300 plant varieties, the garden connects nature to people of all ages.

Family fun Halloween celebrations are from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. throughout Balboa Park and admission is free for kids under the age of 12. Over two-dozen participating museums and attractions present hands-on activities, creepy crafts, terrifying tours, spine-tingling storytelling, costume parades and other spooky surprises.
